All units are 100% full load burn-in tested and all comply with stringent EN, UL and TUV international safety, isolation and EMC standards. The family encompasses universal AC input and three phase AC/DC input models, with DC output options from 5V to 48V.
The family includes the slimline MDR range which is particularly suited to compact, space limited applications from 10 – 100W. Housed within fully isolated plastic cases to prevent user contact and shock risk, the MDR products feature a built in active DC OK signal and LED indication for rapid status monitoring and fault location, and protection from short circuit, overload and over voltage conditions. Convection cooling and up to 85% efficiency significantly increase MDR reliability and lifetime. The MDR-10 and some MDR-100 options are NEC Class 2 compliant, allowing use within hazardous environments. The MDR-100 features active PFC.
The MDR range is complemented by the DR products. These offer variously Class II isolation or UL 508 safety approval, and power outputs from 15W to 480W. The DR products all share many of the MDR benefits. Additionally, other features selectively found on different DR products include built-in EMI filtering with low ripple, fixed switching frequencies, constant current limiting, built in passive or active PFC for reduced power demand and 150% peak load capability.
The three phase DRT range meets high end power requirements from 240W to 960W with up to 92% efficiency. All DRT products accept a wide span 340V ~ 550V AC input; DRT-240 and DRT-480 also accept 480V ~ 780V DC. The DRT products share many of the MDR and DR benefits. DRT-960’s current limiting circuit allows it to fulfil transient surge current demands commonly arising in heavy industrial environments. An optional paralleling function extends its output capability to 80A at 24V.
Uninterruptible Power Supply and Redundant modules are available for designing into DIN rail power systems where very high reliability and availability power is essential. The DR-UPS40 delivers up to 40A battery power at 24V, providing uninterrupted load transfer to battery in the event of online power supply failure. The DR-RDN20 allows safe connection of two 24V power supply modules in a 1+1 redundant configuration. A number of DR-RDN20 modules can be linked to provide an N+1 redundant system. A DR-UPS40 module can also be included; this creates a power system giving protection from both power supply module failure and AC mains interruption. Full battery and system status indication and signalling is provided.
