Three outputs are available for the IQXO-597 range of high frequency clock oscillators. The outputs are sine, differential sine and low voltage, positive emitter-coupled logic (LVPECL).

The oscillators have a high frequency range of between 1.0 and 2.2GHz. The surface mount, six-pad package measures 14.0 x 9.0 x 3.3mm. The package has an FR4 base with a non-hermetically sealed metal lid.

Frequency stability is ±20ppm over the operating range of -40 to 85°C, for a maximum frequency deviation from nominal of just ±70ppm (including frequency tolerance at 25°C, supply voltage variation, load variation and 10 years ageing at 25°C).

The clock oscillator is suitable for 100G/400G data communications, high speed ADC, DAC and SerDes as well as coherent optical modules, advises the company.

It operates from 3.3V with a maximum current draw of 70mA (sine) or 120mA (LVPECL) and with a low RMS phase jitter of 15fs over 12kHz to 20MHz (sine at 2.1930GHz) or 46fs over 10kHz to 20MHz (LVPECL at 1.0960GHz).
