AEC-Q1010-qualifies load dump TVS diodes provide a second source option
Uni-directional TVS diodes from Taiwan Semiconductor give automotive customers a second source option, with capacities and logistics services within Europe.
The AEC-Q101-qualified load dump-TVS diodes are available in 3,600, 4,600 and 6,600W variants and in a DO-218AB package. The company claims to be one of the few sources that deliver the load dump TVS diodes in this package, with AEC-Q101 qualification.
The TLD5S/6S/8S product range meets ISO7637-2 and ISO16750-2 standards and guarantee thermal performance up to TjMAX=+175°C. There are over 50 new parts in the portfolio with a working stand-off voltage from 10 to 43V and a clamping capability from 17 to 69.4V.
The company is concentrating on the automotive market, with the development of a power package for an onboard-charger. Ralf Welter, managing director of Taiwan Semiconductor Europe, said: “Our investments in the automotive industry has paid off and we have grown our business in this segment by 20% in 2018 compared to 2017 in the European market.“ The growth is attributed to investments in production facilities and expanded sales offices in Europe and the USA, offering both customer service and local logistics services.
