The latest RECOM RACM series 18W and 30W AC/DC power supplies, now available at Dengrove Electronic Components, have medical 2-MOPP isolation. They come in a compact, IP68-rated, encapsulated, plastic housing, and require no additional external components to meet Class-B emission limits.

The RACM18-ER and ACM30-ER are certified to IEC/EN 60601-1 medical, IEC/EN 60335-1 household and IEC/EN 60950-1 ITE safety standards, to deliver convenient power for medical healthcare equipment including BF (Body Floating) rated devices like blood-pressure monitors, as well as factory and food-process automation, and household appliances.

In addition, RACM18-ER/W and RACM30-ER/W variants are available with cables attached ready to use in flush-mount wall installations, making them ideal for smart-building applications.

All units have a universal AC input, allowing operation from a 90V–264V AC line, and the 18W versions offer a choice of 5V, 12V or 24V output. 30W units offer a choice of 12V or 24V output.

All models consume less than 75mW with no load, to minimise energy losses and heat dissipation at all times.

In addition to their IP68 ingress-protection rating, the RACM series can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, and at up to 5000-metres altitude.

Built-in short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection ensure resistance to common hazards, enabling appliances to offer end users long service lifetimes and low ownership costs.
