Accutronics' Credit Card Battery meets the needs of Design Engineers
The credit card battery was developed by Accutronics in response to its OEM customer’s demands for a compact and rechargeable lithium-ion battery available for delivery on a short lead time for their portable devices. Most OEMs want to be able to integrate a battery into their application, without jumping through hoops to develop a new energy source for every new product. However, finding a product that meets their quality expectations and come...
Shrinking a Power Supply and the Challenge to Maintain High Reliability White Paper
In the last few years, as the technology of power supplies has changed we have seen tremendous improvements in the power density of solutions being offered by many leading companies. This is in direct response to customer demands of smaller solutions, lower cost and increased reliability. However, as you reduce the size of your power supply you need to ensure that component temperatures are kept low, or run the risk of reduced reliability.
IXYS announce ‘easy mount’ Standard Rectifier Diode Assemblies
IXYS has today introduced a range of ‘easy mount’ rectifier diode assemblies. The new assemblies, which can be supplied either with the diodes ready mounted or as kits, allow for easy mounting of rectifier diodes to cooling fins using four bolts. The diodes are single side mounted directly to a copper base plate pre-drilled with the four bolt holes.
1500 Watt AC-DC Power Supply does not require Derating at Low Line
Emerson Network Power have introduced a new 1500 Watt AC-DC power supply that - unlike many other units in the market - does not require any derating at low line and provides the full power across the input range 90 to 264 Vac. The LCM1500Q-T-4 is the latest model in Emerson’s popular LCM series of AC-DC power supplies, which is known for providing high efficiency and reliability at a competitive cost.
Absopulse's unveil the LPS 2K5-U/4x12CT ac/dc power supply system
The LPS 2K5-U/4x12CT ac/dc power supply system with four outputs was developed for applications that require voltages in the 12V to 48Vdc range, with high current. This 2500W, heavy-duty industrial grade system is suitable for engineering and product test labs. The power system is built with four galvanically isolated internal modules.
TI's Multi-mode PMU extends Battery Life in MCU-based systems
Texas Instruments has today announced a new multi-mode power management unit, the TPS65290. Enabling ultra-low total system quiescent current as low as 100 nA, the TPS65290 PMU minimizes power consumption in battery-powered, microcontroller-based water and gas meters and other industrial applications. The new power management unit manages all power requirements in the system, including load conditions from 100 nA to 500 mA.
Microsemi Releases New Generation of IGBTs for Industrial Applications
Microsemi launches its next-gen 650 volt non-punch through insulated bipolar gate transistors, offered in 45A, 70A and 95A current ratings. Microsemi's new NPT IGBT product family is designed for operation in harsh environments and is particularly well-suited for industrial products such as solar inverters, welders and switch mode power supplies.
Rochester Electronics’ Product Re-introduction through their Extension-of-Life® Program
Rochester Electronics is officially licensed by National Semiconductor to continue manufacturing the LM108 product family through Rochester’s’ extensive line-up of Extension-of-Life® solutions, which supports customer requirements following the end-of-life (EOL) notification. The LM108 is a precision op amp, which operates with supply voltages from ±2V to ±20V and has sufficient supply rejection to use unregulated supplies.
Vishay introduce new -40 V and -30 V MOSFETs in PowerPAK Packages
Vishay have introduced new -40 V and -30 V TrenchFET Gen III p-channel power MOSFETs. Available in the PowerPAK 1212-8 and PowerPAK 1212-8S packages, the new devices feature industry-low on-resistance at -10 V and -4.5 V gate drives. The Vishay Siliconix SiS443DN is the first -40 V p-channel Gen III device, while the SiSS27DN is the first -30 V MOSFET in the PowerPAK 1212-8S package.
