Suited for applications requiring a slim profile, high power density and low no-load power consumption, XP Power introduces a series of single output encapsulated 60W AC/DC power supplies. The ECE60 series is available in either PCB mount, chassis mounted with screw terminals, or in a DIN rail mount configuration.

Measuring 91.4x38.1x28.0mm (3.6x1.5x1.1") with a power density of more than 10W per cubic inch, XP has claimed that the ECE60 has the smallest footprint and the highest power density of any 60W power supply in the industry. Comprised of eight models offering popular nominal voltages from +3.3 to +48V, the series provides no load power consumption of less than 0.3W and high efficiency up to 89%. This ensures that end products meet the criteria of any energy saving initiatives.

In order to accommodate a higher start up current when powering, a motor for example, peak load capability enables up to 130% of rated output power to be delivered for up to 30s. This enables engineers to avoid specifying a more expensive higher rated power supply to accommodate an occasional peak load requirement.

Operating over a temperature range from -25 to +70°C, with no derating until + 50°C, the ECE60 series features a Class II construction so that no Earth or Ground connection is required and can operate in most environments. The power supplies also meet EMC specification EN55022 for class B conducted and radiated emissions without the need for any additional filtering components.

The ECE60 60W power supply is available now with a three year warranty.
