250V time delay fuses enhance protection and safety

A range of 21 new fuses from German manufacturer ESKA has been introduced by Conrad Business Supplies. The ESKA 522.600 series matches a wide variety of different currents and is suitable for use in a wide range of DC systems. Incorporating a number of special features, they join more than 3,000 fuses already available from Conrad.

The new ESKA series was developed to offer first-class safety protection to meet the requirements of DC systems which have become more stringent in recent years. AC fuses are not suitable for DC applications and cannot shut down short-circuit faults effectively.

DC fuses such as the new ESKA 522.600 series reduce the risk of damage to humans or materials through their specially developed characteristics. They are designed to shut down safely with a breaking capacity of up to 200A.

The fuses are made from ceramic tube, with nickel plated brass contact caps and feature an extinguishing agent to further improved fire safety.

Parts from the 522.600 series measure 5mm diameter x 20 mm long and can be ordered individually.

Peter Müller, Product Manager, Category Business Supplies at Conrad commented: “Conrad considers safety to be of the highest priority when it comes to electronic systems, products, and components. This new range of DC fuses from ESKA will provide our customers with a product that has enhanced protection and will keep their electronic devices safe from electronic irregularities and prevent accidents.”
