1U AC-DC power supplies for industrial automation
MEAN WELL has today expanded its lower wattage offering with a new series of 75W AC-DC low profile single output enclosed type switching power supplies with PFC function. Featuring a 1U low profile (30mm), free air convection cooling, and high efficiency, the RSP-75 series power supplies are targeted at end users who require an economical power supply with energy-saving, noise free, and low profile installation features.
Compared to the preceding SP-75 series, these new power supplies are 19.2% smaller and feature an efficiency increase of 3~6%. The working temperature range of -25~70℃ has also been extended from the -10~+60℃ range of the SP-75 series.
Featuring an 85~264V universal AC input range and 3.3V~48V output voltage options, the RSP-75 series are equipped with PFC functionality. With high efficiency of up to 89%, the new AC-DC power supplies can be cooled by free air convection from -25℃ to +40℃ or +50℃ ambient temperature under full load condition, and even up to +70℃ by suitable derating.
Additional built-in functionality includes remote ON/OFF control, short circuit, overload, and over voltage protections. TUV EN61558-2-16 certified, the series complies with global safety regulations per UL, CUL, TUV, CCC, CB, and CE. Therefore, the RSP-75 series can fulfill the requirements of household electrical appliances.
Target applications for the new power supplies include industrial automation system, mechanical and electrical equipment, household appliance (e.g. vending machines, coffee machine, etc.), instruments, or any systems that require 1U low profile installations.
The RSP-75 series AC-DC power supplies also feature a fan-less design, built-in constant current limiting circuit, LED indicator for power on, dimensions of 159 x mm 97 mm x 30mm, and come with a 3 year warranty.
