Z-Foil resistor operates in applications up to 200°C

Capable of operating over a temperature range from -55 to +200°C, the Z201HT ultra-high-precision through-hole Z-Foil resistor has been introduced by Vishay Precision Group. The resistor is suited for a variety of high-temperature applications, including geothermal measuring equipment, turbine engine control, and environmental test chambers in military, industrial, automotive, and down-hole drilling systems.

The Z201HT offers a resistance range from 10Ω-100kΩ, with any conceivable ohmic value within this range (to six digits) available without additional cost or lead time effect. The Z-Foil resistor also features a nominal temperature coefficient of resistance of ±1ppm/°C, +25°C reference, tight tolerances to ±0.01%, and load-life stability to 0.1% after 1,000 hours of rated power at +200°C. Additionally, the resistor features rated power to 0.1W at +200°C, a rise time of 1ns with effectively no ringing, a thermal stabilisation time of less than 1s (within 10ppm of steady state value), current noise of less than 0.010μVrms/V of applied voltage (at less than -40 dB), and a voltage coefficient of less than 0.1ppm/V.

The Z201HT features repetitive thermal cycling and short-term power overloads to ensure reliable operation in harsh environments. Offering a non-capacitive and non-inductive design of less than 0.08μH, the resistor withstands electrostatic discharges of at least 25kV.

Available with RoHS-compliant, lead-free terminations or tin/lead-plated terminations, the Z201HT ultra-high-precision through-hole Z-Foil resistors are available now for sampling and in production quantities with lead times of six weeks for large orders.
