Now available in Europe through TTI, Honeywell Sensing and Control’s MICRO SWITCH GLS miniature switch family is a wide range of limit switches designed for applications that require an environmentally sealed (IP and NEMA) switch, including off-road equipment for agriculture and road construction, scissor and platform lifts, machine tool equipment, rail passenger doors and many others.

Boasting proven durability and reliability, they have compact housings and save space.

The Global Limit Switches meet EN500047 mounting standards and EN/IEC electrical standards for worldwide use. They also have CCC, CE and UL acceptance, again making them suitable for countries around the globe.

One of the main features of the range is that it boasts a wide range of actuators and circuitry options in the same footprint. The family includes heavy-duty limit switches (HDLS), available in standard, harsh-duty epoxy sealed or stainless steel versions. Rugged and dependable, some models have been in service for over forty years.

Other designs of Honeywell’s MICRO SWITCH include the GLA Series which meets EN 50041, IP67 and NEMA 1,3,4,12,13; the metal GLC Series (meets EN50047, IP66/67 and NEMA 1,4,12,13); the GLD Series plastic switch (meets EN 50047, IP666; NEMA 1, 12,13); and the GLE Series, which is EN 50047 compatible, meets IP 65, 66 and 67 standards and NEMA 1,4,12,13.

Additional suitable applications are overhead doors for material handling and machine tool equipment (part presence, machine slide/table positons, panel and door presence).
