An extended range of low-profile stainless steel power resistors, offering low inductance characteristics, have been announced by ARCOL Resistors. Manufactured using cutting-edge film technology, the TFBR series is suited for high-frequency applications including braking, snubbing and discharge.

Operating over a temperature range from -55 to +200°C, the TFBR series features high instantaneous pulse capacity characteristics, standard tolerance of ±10%, peak voltage of 4kV and insulation resistance of 1,000MΩ. The maximum operating voltage is 1,000V and the temperature coefficient is ±150ppm/°C.

The resistors are RoHS compliant, designed for easy assembly and are supplied in standard 6.3mm faston terminals. The TFBR series incorporates innovative packaging design, providing a high power density in a very low-profile package. The substrate thickness is 1.0 ±0.2mm and the wattages (on a heat sink) are 100W for the TFBR100; 300W for the TFBR300; and 900W for the TFBR900.
