Littelfuse Introduces SP1005 and SP1007 Series Bidirectional 0201 TVS Diodes for ESD Protection

Littelfuse announced the introduction of the SP1005 and SP1007 Series today. Both series are discrete bidirectional TVS diodes for ESD protection measuring only 0.62x0.32x0.28mm. The SP1005 (30pF @ 0V) offers up to ±30kV ESD protection and 10A (tP=8/20µs) of surge protection with only 0.7Ω of dynamic resistance, providing best-in-class clamping performance. The SP1007 (3.5pF @ 2.5V) can withstand up to ±8kV ESD, which protects up to the maximum level of the IEC61000-4-2 international standard.
Both devices are particularly suitable for designs where board space is severely limited including applications such as mobile phones, smart phones, camcorders, PDAs, digital cameras, MP3/PMPs, portable navigation devices, portable medical devices, and point-of-sale terminals. Furthermore, the SP1005 offers best-in-class ESD clamping due to its low dynamic resistance of only 0.7Ω.

The new SP1005 and SP1007 Series are RoHS compliant and comply with the following standards:

SP1005:

• ESD, IEC61000-4-2, ±30kV (contact), ±30kV (air)
• Lightning, IEC61000-4-5, 10A (tP=8/20µs)
• EFT, IEC61000-4-4, 40A (tP=5/50ns)

SP1007:

• ESD, IEC61000-4-2, ±8kV (contact), ±15kV (air)
• Lightning, IEC61000-4-5, 2A (tP=8/20µs)
• EFT, IEC61000-4-4, 40A (tP=5/50ns)

Availability

SP1005 and SP1007 Series samples are available now for order and sample request through authorized Littelfuse distributors worldwide, 12 weeks ARO, in 10,000-quantity reel package.
