Fusible power wirewound resistors for smart meter applications
The new CFWS-series of fusible power wirewound resistors is now available from KOA. In normal operation the CFWS series resistor acts as an inrush current control resistor but will safely fuse in specified power overload cases. The CFWS series is available with 3 or 5W power ratings. Both power ratings are approved to UL1412.
The resistors are suitable for a range of applications including smart meters, pre charge resistors, inrush current control, power supplies, LED drivers and white goods.

- Flame retardant coating (Equivalent to UL94-V-0)
- Fail safe mains fusing at AC 250 V (CWFS23: 4.7~9.1Ω: AC 200V)
- T.C.R.: ±100 ppm/K
- -55 to 200°C temperature range
- EU-RoHS compliant
