Interrupting 15A at 400VDC and drawing only 1.2W while switching, Omron Electronic Components has introduced a DC power relay. The G9EJ-1-E is suitable for applications including bicycle and scooter charging stations, UPSs, battery management systems, elevators, industrial robots and solar & wind generation systems.

The device features a proprietary high efficiency magnetic circuit which suppresses arcing, allowing the relay to interrupt high currents without the contacts deteriorating. Omron’s proprietary contact driving system improves inrush current withstand performance and enhances component life.

A wide contact gap gives a high dielectric strength of 2500VAC and the DC power relay features a high insulation of 1,000MΩ between contacts. The G9EJ-1-E is very compact, measuring just 31x27x44mm and weighing just 50g.

The device is supplied in a sealed housing with mounting brackets allowing the application designer to secure the relay in any position. It is also supplied with spade terminals to allow quick connection with industry standard connectors. The relay is also UL/CSA and VDE approved to support international applications.
