Vishay Intertechnology has released a series of X1 ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) suppression film capacitors, with voltage ratings of 330 and 480VAC, for standard X1 across-the-line applications (50/60Hz) in industrial power electronics.

Featuring an internal series construction designed for capacitance stability, the F339X1 480V capacitor suits continuous operation in across-the-line industrial power applications, and for series impedance in capacitive power supplies, even under extreme ambient conditions.

The F339X1 330V is an X1 EMI suppression film capacitor for pulse loads of uncontrolled mains switching, such as power inverters, in standard across-the-line applications.

Offering higher AC voltage ratings than most standard EMI suppression film capacitors, the F339X1 series capacitors meet IEC 60384-14, CSA-E384-14, UL 60384-14 and CQC safety approvals.

With lead pitches ranging from 7.5 to 27.5mm, the capacitors offer capacitance values of 0.001-2.2μF and a permissible DC voltage of up to 1000V.

Climate-tested according to IEC 60068-1 (55/110/56/B), the devices are encapsulated in a flame-retardant UL-class 94 V-0 epoxy-resin sealed plastic case.

Supplied loose in a box or taped on reel, the lead and halogen-free capacitors are RoHS- and Vishay GREEN-compliant. The Vishay GREEN designation means that a component has less than 900ppm of antimony and less than 100ppm of red phosphorous, is halogen-free, and is RoHS-compliant without exemptions.

Samples of the F339X1 series capacitors are available now. Production quantities will be available in late 2014, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks for larger orders.
