Customised switches supply environmental protection
As part of its growing added value service, Aerco now provides customers with the option of environmentally protecting the popular range of Honeywell Vehicle Control E-Stop push-pull switches. This service targets applications in the marine, agricultural, material handling, machine tools and mining construction industries and the procedure, which applies a protective boot and potting process to the exposed element of the switch, is carried out in-house at Aerco.
An option to fit a customer-specified flying lead is also available.
Other added-value services from Aerco include assembling a wide range of connectors and customising fan products, solenoids and cable assemblies.
Honeywell's push-pull switch is a robust, environmentally sealed, sliding contact switch incorporating two circuits with multiple combinations. The sliding contacts provide positive contact closure and opening when the switch knob is operated.
Contact closures are available with both circuits closed in the push position, or both circuits closed in the pull position, or alternate closure, one closed and one open. Dual O-ring design protects the contact chamber by isolating it from any moisture or any other contaminant.
