There is a growing demand for AC and DC waterproof and dustproof equipment fans for cooling of equipment used in harsh conditions.  Distributor Aerco has built up an extensive range for these product which are ideal for applications such as remote telecommunication equipment, food processing and other plants that use spray-down cleansing techniques and portable instrumentation and other equipment used outside or in inclement conditions.

Aerco's latest addition is the ADDA AQ series, a range of IP55 waterproof fans protected against direct or indirect water spray, extended exposure to salt spray and salt fog and also protected against fine dust particles.

Available in 60mm, 70mm, 80mm, 92mm and 120mm frame sizes and in 12V and 24V with speed options from 1,800 to 4,500 rev/min this range provides airflow capability varying from 6.23 litres/sec (13.2 CFM) to 49.25 litres/sec (104.4 CFM) ensuring that the fan most suited to the application can be selected.

Although there are numerous waterproof DC fans, there are comparatively few AC fans available but the ADDA AA1282 range of waterproof AC fans allows designers to use readily available AC power for a fan that provides IP55 protection levels and has passed stringent salt-water spray tests.

The fans have high performance packaging, infusion technology and parylene coating to give maximum protection and are built in a frame size of 120 x 120 x 38mm.  They are highly thermal stable so can be used in a very wide temperature range from -10°C to +70°C.  The airflow capacity is 43 litres/sec (91.2 CFM) and a precision ball bearing system ensures a product life of over 50,000 hours.
