Pico Technology has announced a further development of its PicoScope 6000E Series mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs) with the launch of four new four-channel models, each of which can be configured with 16 optional digital channels. With bandwidths of 750MHz or 1GHz, 8-bit or 8/10/12-bit Flexible Resolution and up to 4 GS deep capture memory, these products enhance the existing PicoScope 6000E portfolio, adding to the 350 MHz and 500 MHz models that were introduced in 2020.

GaN epitaxy on AIX G5+ C for 1200V demonstrated

Imec and AIXTRON have demonstrated epitaxial growth of gallium-nitride (GaN) buffer layers qualified for 1,200V applications on 200mm QST substrates, with a hard breakdown exceeding 1,800V. The manufacturability of 1,200V-qualified buffer layers opens doors to highest voltage GaN-based power applications such as electric cars, previously only with feasible silicon-carbide (SiC)-based technology.
