Kongsberg acquires Danish maritime software company

Kongsberg Digital has acquired COACH Solutions, a supplier of software solutions for vessel performance and monitoring. The new name will be KONGSBERG COACH Solutions. COACH’s vessel performance monitoring system was developed by Danish shipping company Clipper Group. In 2016 COACH was established as an independent company - COACH Solutions ApS.

GKN Aerospace supports the Gripen’s RM12 engine

GKN Aerospace has signed a follow-on Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract with the Swedish Armed Forces for the provision of comprehensive support for the GKN Aerospace RM12 engine. The RM12 engine powers the JAS 39 Gripen C/D fighter. This contract follows a series of multi-year RM12 PBL agreements and is expected to be worth approximately $440m.

GM Defense and Ricardo win US Army vehicle production contract

The US Army has announced that GM Defense, along with Ricardo as its strategic partner, has been awarded a $214.3m production contract to build, field, and sustain the Army's new Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV). The ISV is designed to provide rapid ground mobility transportation in a highly flexible, light, all-terrain, air-droppable vehicle intended for use by a nine-solider infantry squad moving within 'close battle areas'.
