This webinar shares some of the research for the brand new IDTechEx report, 'Transparent Electronics Materials, Applications, Markets 2021-2041' - due to be released this month.

Learn how the giants are involved now. Hyundai promises that some of its future electric cars will retain large roof windows but the new versions will generate enough solar electricity to significantly increase range. Chinese railways newly deploy train windows that have interactive, light-emitting colour displays visible when needed.

The USA has an increasing number of farm greenhouses that let in the types of light that optimally grow plants while using the rest to make electricity. It also prepares for market the self-darkening electricity-generating windows that will save a huge chunk of grid power. The new Korean and Chinese microLED displays will constitute the best see-through billboards with 'bright images floating in air'. The British pioneer mainstream silicon photovoltaics seeing through an overlayer of transparent perovskite photovoltaics for boosting power.

As we see, the rapidly expanding business of transparent electronics includes transparent electrics and optronics. The transparency is achieved using transparent materials or alternatively opaque materials in patterns that let light through as with your car window antenna and demister patterns.

Indeed, in Germany they are developing headlamp glass that steers the radar beam of driverless vehicles. They are already offering transparent heater laminate to go over the inside fitments of electric vehicles, saving weight and power, increasing range.

Learn how certain layered constructs are widely useful in transparent electronics. Barrier layers protect displays and photovoltaics and conducting patterns constitute much, from antennas to demisters but we must add another. Learn how transparent metamaterials will enable 5G and 6G communications, robotic vehicles and the new terahertz electronics and photovoltaics.

IDTechEx will be hosting the same webinar three times in one day, so please join which ever session is the most convenient for you. Spaces are limited
