Technical trucking solutions to be presented at CV Show

It has been announced that JOST UK will be demonstrating its one-stop-shop approach of providing all the design, supply and after sales services truck operators need on its stand, Number 5B30, at the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show, NEC Birmingham 30th April to 2nd May.

Aimed at all types of truck and van operators, CV show is expected to attract over 20,000 business visitors and provide a meeting place for operators and suppliers to discuss ideas, issues and trends in their industry.

The JOST UK stand will be manned by technical and business experts and will feature the latest products and services across all group brands JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC, EDBRO and JOST Trailer Axle Systems. This year two products in particular will be highlighted on the stand, TRIDEC’s LV-O independent air suspension and the EFS electronic steering system.

The LV-O makes it possible to create more load space in a trailer. The design is such that there is no axle housing between the wheels, which increases load capacity without compromising ground clearance. Thus, a double decker will have over 100m³ of load space, while a 2,550mm wide vehicle will have a width of 1,620mm between the wheel boxes, sufficient to accommodate two Euro pallets. The LV-O can be installed on double-decker trailers and semi-trailers and is suitable for a range of applications.

The EF-S steering system enables trailers with an extremely low trailer neck, such as low loaders, tankers and monocoque-constructed trailers, to be equipped with a steering system for up to three kingpin-steered axles. It is designed to be responsive to all steering motions and allows the trailer to smoothly, safely and stably follow the truck when turning or manoeuvring.
