Luso Electronics Distribution has announced that SynQor will be demonstrating its leading edge technologies on Stand S9-184 at next week’s DSEI, the world’s largest fully integrated defence and security exhibition. Being held at ExCel in London from 10-13 September 2013, the show runs every two years and brings together the entire industry to source the latest equipment and systems.

SynQor is a leading supplier of power conversion solutions to a wide range of markets, including those in communications, computing and industrial sectors as well as defence. At the event, SynQor will be showing a wide range of power technologies, in particular, a demonstration of its advanced-technology military-grade Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units, which are designed for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of military, aerospace and also medical applications. These units incorporate field-proven high-efficiency designs and rugged packaging technologies. Offering shock- and weather-proof construction combined with low weight (14.5kg) and a compact size (1U rack-mount unit), the UPS units deliver 1250 Watts (1500VA) of output power.

In addition, SynQor will also be showing:

  • The MilQor series of high-reliability DC-DC converters that offer the company field-proven high-efficiency synchronous rectifier technology;
  • Mil-COTS half-brick transient EMI filters that comply with a wide range of military standards and also meet the requirements of DEF STAN 61-5 Part 6 Issue 6, which deals with 12V vehicle systems as well as the 24/28V systems commonly used in military vehicles;
  • The PFCQor module, a power factor correction building block for AC-DC power conversion that delivers 700W of output power in an industry-standard half-brick package while also achieving an efficiency as high as 96%;
  • The MultiQor interface adaptor boards, which are an alternative connection method for customers that do not want to mount DC/DC converters and filter modules to a PCB, delivering increased design flexibility and making it easier for replacement in the field; and
  • A range of VPX power conversion cards in both 3U and 6U format configurations

The full range of SynQor power conversion solutions are available for purchase from Luso Electronics for evaluation and qualification.
