Essemtec will exhibit in Booth #1211 at the IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place 24th to 26th February 2015 at the San Diego Convention Centre, California. Company representatives will demonstrate the multi-functional SMT centre Paraquda, Cubus SMT storage device and the Lynx flexible and accurate pick-and-place system.

The Paraquda SMT centre meets all the requirements of a modern, flexible production system, providing changeover without downtime, component management, and the integration of jet printing of solder paste or glue. Paraquda combines solder paste jetting and SMD assembly within one machine platform.

Next-gen SMT storage device, the user-configurable Cubus, innovates how SMT components are stored and provisioned for electronic manufacturing. There are no limitations in terms of reel sizes, reel widths or JEDEC trays. Essemtec’s eStorage software improves provisioning speed while reducing errors, increasing operational efficiency. Finally, the system seamlessly integrates with ERP, MRP or middle ware systems and also speaks with pick-and-place machines to automatically replenish feeders.

The Lynx bridges the gap between the Pantera X-plus and Paraquda SMT placers, suited for high-mix SMT production. With 180 feeder lanes on 0.85 square metres, it offers the highest feeder density on the market. The system’s high component flexibility is combined with unique capabilities to accurately place 0201 components backed by the latest-generation digital camera, fast laser centering and image processing systems.
