The leading events for the electronics and electronics production industries in Asia, electronica and productronica China 2015 will run concurrently from 17th to 19th March 2015, in halls E3 - E5, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Together, the tradeshows will cover 57,500 square metres of exhibition space, in which over 900 exhibitors and 56,000 visitors will discuss the latest products and technologies in the electronics industry.

Semiconductors, sensors, connectors and power supplies make up the core of electronica's ‘Planet e’ concept, and they comprise its landscapes, cities and streets. The innovative Planet e concept will help people to better understand the driving force behind the development of the world. On Planet e, visitors and exhibitors come together and find out about the important developments in the electronics industry in Asia.

Focusing on precision electronic production lines and EMS, productronica is the ideal platform for the exhibition of core electronic manufacturing technologies, covering cable processing, SMT, EMS, dispensing, tests and measurements, soldering, electronic and chemical materials, electromagnetic compatibility, PCB production, components manufacturing (coil winding, stamping, filling, coating, sorting and labeling) and assembly tools.

At the ‘Semiconductor Segment’ of electronica China 2015, leading exhibitors including Bosch, Fairchild, Freescale, ST and Toshiba will display their latest developments for the Chinese market. Infineon and International Rectifier will also exhibit together for the first time after their merger. Together, they plan to introduce their new corporate image, more products and inform visitors on the important progress they have made. First-time exhibitors such as ADI, AMS and Spansion will showcase embedded controlling applications, mixed-signal chips with concentrated analogue technology, active and passive RF components and intelligent sensors for IoT and wearable devices.

The ‘Passive Components Segment’ will, in addition to leading exhibitors like Murata, Omron, Panasonic and TDK, expand again to include Yageo, one of the largest global suppliers of chip resistors and multiplayer ceramic chip capacitors. They are going to form the most important platform for the display of passive parts and provide the most cost-effective and reliable power conversion solutions to a wide range of industries including telecommunications, computation, medical treatment, military and industrial manufacturing.

The ‘Switch and Interconnection Technology Segment’, the biggest of its kind in Asia covering 12,000 square metres, is hailed by electronica's organisers as a highlight of the trade show. As well as longstanding exhibitors such as Molex, Kostal and TE Connectivity, Amphenol will also join the area this year and offer customers professional power and data transmission solutions, logistics and service in nearly every industrial field.

As the first important event for the industry in spring 2015, productronica China will bring together prestigious names in the industry including Epson, Fanuc, Festo, Hiprecise, JAM, Junquan, Komax, Nordson, Rampf, Schleuniger, Shinmaywa, Tamura, Unicomp and Universal Robots to present innovative, efficient and energy-saving electronic manufacturing technologies, equipment and solutions and to offer a one-stop platform for equipment procurements and upgrades.

Very well received last year, the SMT Innovation Point and Demo Line will open again at productronica China 2015 and convene leading electronics manufacturing equipment manufacturers. ASM, Europlacer, Juki, Mycronic, Panasonic, Yamaha will bring its pick and place machine range. Famous printing machine manufacturers like DEK will be present, in addition to reflow oven brands such as BTU, Ersa, Rehm and Tamura. AOI and X-Ray testing equipment suppliers Aleader Vision, Unicomp, VCTA-AOI, and Yxlon will present their latest products. They will join together to form three SMT lines for the consumer, automotive and aerospace electronic products. The entire SMT processes from applying solder, mounting components, reflow soldering to testing and measurement will be demonstrated live.

The Shanghai New International Expo Centre opens its doors on 17th March where, in addition to the companies, technologies and events listed above, a vast array of businesses will exhibit the industry's latest products and concepts.
