SENSOR+TEST 2025 is the central industry get-together for sensor, measuring, and testing technology. With over 350 exhibitors, two main topics – condition monitoring and innovative calibration – as well as the accompanying scientific SMSI 2025 – Sensor and Measurement Science International Conference, the trade fair offers a great combination of industrial practice, scientific discourse, and personal exchange.

“The SENSOR+TEST is not a shop window, but a workroom for tomorrow's technology. Here, competence and expertise are the main focus,” says Elena Schultz, Managing Director of AMA Service GmbH.

In the midst of global challenges such as geopolitical tensions, energy crises, and economic uncertainty, the SENSOR+TEST 2025 from 6-8th May 2025 in Nuremberg is positioning itself as a stable anchor and innovation driver for the sensor and measurement technology industry. With the two focus topics of Condition Monitoring and Innovative Calibration, the trade fair is deliberately focusing on practical relevance. Predictive maintenance, AI-based diagnostic models, digital calibration strategies, and networked systems will be at the centre of attention. Live demonstrations, a series of lectures, and a special display area will deepen the transfer of knowledge.

Technology needs dialog

The concept of the SENSOR+TEST remains clearly structured and technically focused – sensor, measuring, and testing technology are at the centre. The focus is not only on products, but also on specific solutions. Visitors can look forward to expert forums with high-level lectures, the central plaza in hall 2, and networking formats such as the exhibitors' evening. Expert forums, joint company stands, the Young Engineers Day, and the ‘Young Innovators’ stand create targeted opportunities for exchange. “The SENSOR+TEST pursues a clear focus. Our strength lies in the depth of content, in personal dialog, and in targeted networking,” says Schultz.

SMSI 2025: science meets application

The SMSI 2025 – Sensor and Measurement Science International Conference, a scientific congress with over 200 contributions, will take place at the NCC West parallel to the fair. Plenary talks, tutorials, poster sessions, and a science slam create space for interdisciplinary exchange between research, development, and industrial practice. “With the SMSI, we are building a bridge between basic research and application – and enabling real knowledge transfer,” says Schultz. The focus here is on current topics such as AI in diagnostics, digital metrology, and energy monitoring.

Global topics, concrete solutions

The SENSOR+TEST picks up on relevant megatrends such as sustainability, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence. The exhibitors present solutions for energy-efficient processes, CO₂ monitoring, smart quality assurance, and resilient systems. The technological change is reflected not only in the products, but also in the fair programme. “We show how our industry contributes to the success of the energy transition, the digitalisation of industry, and the sustainability of society and the economy,” explains Schultz. The SENSOR+TEST is thus not only a trade fair, but also a driving force for cross-industry developments.

Networking at eye level

Networking is more than just a buzzword – it is an integral part of the trade fair concept. The SENSOR+TEST creates spaces for targeted exchange among experts. It deliberately focuses on eye-level interaction – between startups and corporations, between researchers and users. “Professionally strong, personally close, strategically meaningful,” is how Schultz describes the character of the fair. Above all, the mix of established players and young innovative companies is a clear advantage for all participants, because real innovation only arises where tradition meets a fresh approach.

With targeted formats such as the Young Engineers Day and the ‘Young Innovators’ joint stand, the SENSOR+TEST also actively promotes young talents. The goal is to spark young people's interest in sensor and measuring technology at an early stage and to enable them to make direct contact with companies. “Innovation requires curiosity – and the courage to break new ground,” says Schultz with conviction. “We provide space for creative ideas, unconventional approaches, and fresh dialog.”

SENSOR+TEST: a workroom for future technologies

The SENSOR+TEST 2025 is the industry’s meeting point, workroom, and network at the same time – for all those who want to shape the future. In a changing world, it offers orientation, exchange, and impulses – compact, focused, and highly relevant. This is exactly what the SENSOR+TEST stands for: for a real innovation dialog. Here, companies not only show products, but also approaches. This is where researchers and practitioners, startups and market leaders, experienced and young professionals meet. “The SENSOR+TEST has a clear focus – and that is precisely its strength: sensor, measuring, and testing technology is not on the sidelines for us, but at the centre of attention. This makes us a specialist meeting place with depth. The SENSOR+TEST is a stage for relevant innovations and a driving force for development,” says Schultz.

The SENSOR+TEST 2025 is open from 9am to 5pm on all three days of the fair.
