Kurtz Ersa is proud to announce two upcoming advanced training courses focused on the VERSAFLOW 3 selective soldering system, scheduled to take place in July 2025 at the company’s US headquarters in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

The first session, 'Ersa VERSAFLOW 3 – Level II Maintenance Training', will run from 14-16 July. This course is designed to provide students with the hands-on skills and knowledge required to maintain and troubleshoot VERSAFLOW 3 machines. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the machine’s layout, software functionality, and system modules.

Training topics will cover machine calibration, nitrogen and pneumatic systems, preventative maintenance practices, and electrical system diagnostics. Additionally, students will receive detailed instruction on maintaining the flux, preheat, and solder modules, along with methods for addressing conveyor and transfer issues. The course concludes with a practical troubleshooting session. Successful participants will be awarded a certificate of completion.

The second session, 'Ersa VERSAFLOW 3 – Level II Application Training', is scheduled from 16-18 July. This course is intended for users seeking to optimise process performance and programming capabilities on the VERSAFLOW 3. Participants will explore in-depth process parameters across all machine modules and learn about the nuances of using lead-free solder alloys. The curriculum will also include training on Ersa CAD 3 offline programming software, proper temperature profiling, application-specific process selection, and how to overcome common SMT clearance and design challenges. Attendees will leave with strategies for program optimisation and cycle time reduction, with the goal of minimising defects and maximising throughput.
