The UK’s largest technology event stack, Cloud Expo Europe, DevOps Live, Cloud & Cyber Security Expo, Smart IoT, Big Data & AI World, Blockchain Technology World, and Data Centre World will return for its 12th edition on 11th-12th March 2020, for the first time under the new London Tech Show rebrand.

CloserStill Media’s event stack is expected to welcome over 21,000 international industry professionals to the ExCeL London to connect with innovators and service providers, network with peers and access a wealth of knowledge and advice on emerging enterprise IT trends.

The two day event will feature a suite of new content and highlights, including Big Data & AI World Leaders Circle, a laser-focused platform where senior data leaders will share inspiring stories, facilitating conversations to help them overcome data challenges. Joining the Leaders Circle for its inaugural year are Peter Eckley, CDO, Bank of England; Simon Asplen-Taylor, CDO, Rank Group; and Nick Hough-Robbins, CDO, Shell Retail IT, among others.

In addition, Data Centre World 2019’s successful Hosted Buyers Programme is welcoming even more international businesses and data centre professionals to attend round-table appointments with key global data centre suppliers.

Lastly, to stimulate effective sector-specific learning, for the first time London Tech Show is tailoring three theatres for the Healthcare, Public Sector, and Finance & Banking sectors, each dedicated to providing a concentrated platform for sector experts to dive deeper into the challenges facing their industries.

“We’re delighted to present the UK with the opportunity to access the industry’s best technology and expertise in one location, and look forward to this exciting two-day gathering of the tech world’s finest,” said Tom Vine, Group Event Director, CloserStill Media.

A hotbed of tech innovation

The annual free-to-attend event will allow professionals to source from over 700 tier-1 solution leaders, including: Crowdstrike, Darktrace, Dataplus, Eaton, IBM, Forcam, GTT, McAfee, MongoDB, NTT, Riello SafeGuard Cyber, Schneider Electric, Snowflake, Sophos, Vertiv, VMware and Zoho.

London Tech Show Headline Sponsor IBM will showcase a range of immersive experiences focused on journey to cloud, the 'ladder' to AI, blockchain, security and other emerging technologies. With ten keynotes, four lunch briefings, a dedicated Tech Think Tank theatre hosting 15-minute TED style talks and an impressive demo showcase at stand C1150, attendees will have the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience of IBM technologies.

"Our capital city is a major hub for innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship so this is the perfect opportunity to bring together leading experts from IBM, our clients and our partners to demonstrate the very latest innovations that are empowering people to make change for good while transforming business and the way we work," said Andy Stanford-Clark, Chief Technology Officer, IBM UK & Ireland.

Situated within the event halls are 26 conference theatres hosting over 371 hours of content on technological issues and strategies in the ever-evolving tech industry.

In today’s digital world, a nation’s security lives or dies on its ability to transform data reserves into a competitive advantage. On the London Tech Show Main Stage, Major-General Thomas Copinger-Symes CBE, Director of Military Digitisation for Joint Forces Command, will detail the importance of the military’s digital transformation in the battle to protect our nation.

“Overcoming institutional inertia and accelerating Defence’s transformation is essential for delivering our purpose - to protect our people, prevent conflict, and ultimately to allow us to fight and win,” commented Copinger-Symes.

As more organisations embrace DevOps methodology to rapidly evolve their business, the security of DevOps tools and processes is increasingly under the spotlight. At DevOps Live, 12th March, Martyn Coupland, DevOps Technical Lead at Virgin Atlantic, will take a look at the common challenges, questions and solutions for securing DevOps investments.

Despite increased media exposure, tougher fines and reputational damage, data breaches continue to be reported on an almost a daily basis. In Cloud and Cyber Security Expo’s Keynote Theatre, Becky Pinkard, renowned cyber security practitioner and CISO at Aldermore bank, will examine how 'breach normalisation' is impacting both society and security itself.

“We have to consider how we are interacting, if it’s secure, what data is being used, if that data is necessary, and help each other,” said Pinkard. “We have to help encourage each other to continue to talk about this and to continue to bring it to light. I think that’s the only way we’re going to get where we need to be.”

At London Tech Show 2020, don’t miss thought leaders from large organisations including: Ford Motor Company, NHSX, Zurich Insurance, HMRC, Ticketmaster, BT, Vodafone, Lloyds Banking Group, Co-op Digital, Autotrader, Just Eat, BBC, Channel 4, HSBC, Natwest, RBS, Morgan Stanley, TomTom, British Heart Foundation, AXA Healthcare, giffgaff, Walmart, BP, British American Tobacco, MoneySuperMarket.com, Nestle, Marks & Spencer, London Stock Exchange, BNP Paribas and more.
