UK technology marketing specialist Energi has announced that next year's Device Developers' Conference will take place at Cambourne near Cambridge on the 27th and 28th April 2016. With its focus on embedded systems and realtime software, the annual Device Developers' Conference is an event where hi-tech developers can learn about new development tools, industry trends and future technologies.

The 2016 Device Developers' Conference will be co-located with H/WExpo, a new event for hardware focused engineers. With a dedicated exhibition space, and a dedicated presentation stream, H/WExpo will explore such topics as PCB design and CAD software, test and measurement instrumentation, reference design boards, silicon solutions and enclosure design.

"We have made a few changes for the 2016 event," said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. "In previous year's we have run the Conference at multiple locations, but for 2016 we are planning a single event over two days, near Cambridge. In addition to this, we will be running H/WExpo alongside; this will be a new Conference focused on the interests of hardware developers. We think that this will broaden the appeal of the event and help make it an even more productive day for engineers and scientists working in the field of electronics and intelligent systems."

Over recent years the Device Developers' Conference has attracted engineers from across the UK and Europe. With an exhibition of tools and technologies, a stream of informative technical presentations from industry experts and a series of half-day workshops, the Conference has gained a reputation for being well organised and highly productive. Over 350 developers attended the 2015 Conference.

"Our objective is always to create a relaxed forum where vendors and developers can share their knowledge and explore new solutions for future projects," said Mr Blackburn. "The feedback from both the vendors and the delegates is that this event is a worthwhile investment of their time and energy."

Development tool and technology companies from around the world participate in the Device Developers Conference, with German debug tool company Lauterbach being a lead sponsor.  For the 2016 event, LED and display technology specialist, Intelligent Embedded Systems has also agreed to be a lead sponsor.
