Products and services from its EMC and Automotive Divisions will be showcased by Schaffner at Electronica 2018. EMC filters specifically designed for medical devices offer end users simple solutions to EMC issues and get product certifications without adding any additional risk to the patient.

Schaffner offers a number of “off the shelf” EMC filtering solutions for medical applications and motor drives, machinery, robotic and many other applications.

With the rapid growth in electric vehicles Schaffner now offer a range of filter products for EV charging stations.

New global standards are in force which include EMC regulations and safety considerations requiring conducted EMC emission level fulfilment on both sides of the charging station.

Schaffner will have automotive specialists on hand to present a new generation of passive HV-DC EMI filters and high current common mode chokes.

The company is also running a seminar "When every heart beat counts" on Thursday November 15 from 09:30-10:00 in hall (A1 PCB & Components Marketplace) booth A1.263.

Product Marketing Manager Holger Urban will be available to answer questions regarding the development process of medical equipment related to standard IEC 60601-1.

The presentation will give deeper insight in leakage current vs. performance of EMI filters and how to deal with safety class I and II, with examples based on possible filter solutions and upcoming ideas and products based on Schaffner’s view on the market.
