“The eCl@ss Consortium, currently consisting of more than 100 members, is pleased to have Zuken as a new member because the eCl@ss standard can be used in electronic development and production processes,” said Thomas Einsporn, Head of eCl@ss Business, Cologne.
For users of E³.series, the benefits of having complete component data from the onset is stronger than those using older systems, as the engineering design solution is object (component) oriented rather than symbol oriented. This allows the engineer to make full use of the component data when making engineering decisions.

“We are delighted the eCl@ss data model for CAx applications has been enhanced and that Zuken was able to make a contribution. The benefit to our customers is obvious as more and more component manufacturers want to make their data available electronically. Therefore, the quality is improved and the creation of libraries is considerably more effective,” said Joachim Frank, Director of E³ business at Zuken.

The component data currently contained within the E³.series component library from members of the company’s Component Manufacturers Alliance Program (CMAP) are compliant with the eCl@ss standard. Zuken’s CMAP is open to all component suppliers.
