TESEQ, the leading developer and provider of instrumentation and systems for EMC emission and immunity testing, has gained initial accreditation by The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17025 for Teseq Japan’s Calibration laboratory in Nagoya, Japan, listed in A2LA Certificate # 2127.03.
Teseq maintains 7 calibration facilities worldwide for the Calibration of EMC Equipment. Teseq’s production facilities in Switzerland, Germany and United Kingdom are accredited by SCS, DAkkS and UKAS respectively. Teseq’s sales and support offices in USA and Singapore are already accredited for calibration services by A2LA. Teseq Calibration Laboratory (Nagoya) becomes the sixth location in the organization to obtain this prestigious qualification.

Taken from the Standard’s own introduction, ISO/IEC 17025 is an International Standard that “contains all of the requirements that testing and calibration laboratories have to meet if they wish to demonstrate that they operate a management system, are technically competent, and are able to generate technically valid results.” Being accredited to this standard proves to our customers that our Laboratory has a sound management and is technically competent to take the measurements included in the laboratory’s scope. The Accreditation of the local calibration laboratory in Japan shows Teseq’s continued commitment to provide an exceptional level of support to our customers, and wherever possible to offer these services in the local regions and languages of our customers.

The Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025-2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 for Teseq Calibration Laboratory in Nagoya is available from Teseq or the A2LA homepage (Certificate Number 2127.03) and covers parameters from IEC/EN61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC/EN61000-4-4 (Burst), IEC/EN61000-4-6 (Conducted RF), IEC/EN61000-4-5 (Surge), IEC/EN61000-4-11 (PQT), ISO10605 (Automotive ESD), ISO7637 (Automotive Transient) as well as other Electrical DC/Low Frequency and RF/Microwave parameters. Please refer to the scope for the full listing of parameters and measurement uncertainties. The Nagoya laboratory is also certified to offer field calibrations. In additional to Accredited Calibration the Nagoya laboratory is also offering traceable (non-accredited) calibrations according to the full factory specifications of the Teseq instrumentation.

In Japan there are many organisations offering both Accredited and Non-Accredited Calibration services. There are however substantial benefits to having Test Equipment calibrated by the manufacturer. Additional services such as hardware, software and firmware updates maybe carried out by the same organisation and in the event a piece of Equipment is out of specification only the Manufacturer is qualified to perform repairs and adjustments. Additionally when the original packaging is no longer available at the customer site, Teseq specific packaging can be supplied to insure the safe transport between the calibration laboratory and customer.
