With effect from 1 July, Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH appointed Markus Zuehlke as Marketing Director Passive Components. Since 2007, Mr Zuehlke was Senior Marketing Manager Resistors at Rutronik. Markus Zuehlke’s previous position is succeeded by Michael Heinrich, who has been working in product marketing resistors at Rutronik. Also with effect from 1 July, Volker Buchmann takes over as Marketing Director Electromechanical Components from Jörg Ciper. Mr Ciper is leaving the company. Both Marketing Directors report directly to Markus Krieg, Rutronik's Managing Director Marketing. Gökhan Ersoy, who worked in product marketing microcontrollers, takes over from Volker Buchmann as Senior Marketing Manager Inductors.

We are proud that we were able to fill all our management positions with very competent specialists from within our own ranks, commented Thomas Rudel, CEO of Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH. They gained a wealth of experience from our and other companies in the industry and possess the necessary competence to promote their division. We are confident that Rutronik will benefit from this and we will be able to continue expanding our strong position in Europe.

Markus Zuehlke looks back on 15 years in managerial positions in the electronics sector. Amongst others, he worked as Purchasing and Procurement Manager as well as Business and Business Unit Manager for the EPIQ Group and Frankonia Elektronik. My objective as Marketing Director Passive Components is an above-average increase in the activities of the design-in segment, which is in line with the comprehensive expertise of our team. We shall also strengthen the market position of Rutronik in other European countries. To achieve this, we want to focus even more than before on strategic partners, with whom we advance our development, explains Markus Zuehlke. His successor as Senior Marketing Manager Resistors is Michael Heinrich, who has been working in the resistor segment at Rutronik for the past six years.

With effect from 1 July, Volker Buchmann takes over as Marketing Director Electromechanical Components. The graduate in electrical engineering can look back on a 15-year career at Rutronik; initially as Product Manager Inductors and Special Components; later as Senior Marketing Manager of this product division. Since 2009, Volker Buchmann has also been the Technical Director Passive Components. Being the Marketing Director Electromechanical Components, my goal is to ensure an even stronger presence with our customers. To do this, I place great emphasis on one face to the customer, which means a designated contact person for each customer, and increased innovation and technology transfer, Buchmann explains his goals. In my view, it is also important to continue the expansion of Rutronik's range of complete solutions in intensive co-operation with the divisions for active and passive components, displays & PC components as well as wireless technologies. Being important future markets for electrical engineering, we focus increasingly on automation and robotics, renewable energies, lighting, the automotive market, white goods and medical technology with innovative and high-quality products and services – also in close co-operation with our key manufacturers.

The position of Senior Marketing Manager Inductors, currently held by Volker Buchmann, will be taken over by Gökhan Ersoy, who has been working in the microcontroller segment at Rutronik for the past ten years. In my new position, I will be able to employ my design-in expertise, since both microcontrollers and inductors are very consultancy-intensive products. Apart from focussing on design-in components, I aim at the systematic development of the commodity product range, explains Gökhan Ersoy.
