The organizer of productronica 2009, Messe Munchen International (MMI), has announced a full programme of supporting events for the world’s leading trade fair that showcases every aspect of electronics production. The theme for productronica 2009 is “Innovation all along the line“ and new innovation is indeed the focal point of this year’s event. Special focus areas will examine those topics representing market sectors with real growth potential. These include: Photovoltaic Manufacturing; MicroNano Production; Organic Electronics and Hybrid-Component Manufacturing.
As well as these special focus areas, the events programme at Productronica is driven by knowledge transfer. Experts from all fields of electronics production will be presenting at the ZVEI sponsored Productronica Forum in Hall A1. More than 50 short, but detailed, papers will be presented on topics ranging from New Technologies for Green Manufacturing and The Future for EMS Companies, to Traceability in the Supply Chain and New Packaging Technologies using Chip Embedding Techniques. The full programme is listed in the visitors section of

Hall B3 will be the venue for SOPRO, a special show highlighting how future production facilities will use the very latest technology. Self-Organising PROduction will make use of a new technology labelled e-grains. These tiny electronic cells permit production machines and systems to communicate with each other allowing a manufacturing plant an unprecedented degree of intelligence and flexibility which will ultimately mean a production facility that can think for itself!

Not open to the public is the new Munich Electronics Summit which is aimed at CEOs and Managing Directors of leading international organisations and large medium-sized enterprises from all parts of the World. During an exclusive discussion in an informal and private atmosphere, the business leaders will meet to talk about strategies, ideas, future trends and general political conditions within the electronics industry. A summary report detailing the findings of the summit will be made generally available.

The Munich Electronics Summit will take place on the first day of productronica, which will open its doors at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from November 10 to 13, 2009.

The popular CEO Round Table returns to Productronica 2009. This is a public podium discussion with leading figures from the worldwide electronics industry and has long been a permanent fixture at both productronica and electronica. The subject is a very topical one – How innovation will be the driving force for surviving the present economic crisis and experts from many leading companies including Tyco, Siemens and Aston Martin Lagonda will be on the podium.

productronica 2009 will have plenty to offer everyone who has an interest in electronics production. Products and services to be showcased by more than 1000 exhibitors include products and services in the following sectors :
· Semiconductor and display manufacturing
· Photovoltaic manufacturing
· Micronano-production
· PCB and circuit-carrier manufacturing
· Component-mount technology
· Soldering technology
· Hybrid-component production
· Technologies in cable processing
· Coilware manufacturing
· Test and measurement, quality assurance
· Materials processing
· Product finishing
· Production logistics and material-flow technology
· Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
