Marking, identification and traceability specialist Pryor is to use EMO Hannover 2017 to showcase its range of industrial equipment and software. Visitors to the Pryor stand will be able to see a fully automated, robotic marking system in action, applying unique serial numbers to vehicle drivetrains. The solution features a high definition vision system to identify a feature on the engine and automatically place the mark in the correct location, as well as carrying out a 100% check of mark quality, with all data being recorded and stored for full traceability.

In addition, Pryor’s latest laser marking capabilities will be demonstrated with high speed, on-the-fly marking of parts on a moving conveyor. Ideal for use in high volume automotive production, each part can be uniquely identified, logged and traced within 0.5 seconds.

Pryor’s precision, low stress, Dot Peen marking solution will also be on stand. Widely used to meet aerospace specifications, the technology will be demonstrated with the class leading BenchDot machine and an innovative, battery powered system which can be mounted in a CNC tool changer, for in-process identification of parts. Suitable for marking small to medium sized components of unusual shapes and dimensions, it is ideal for marking alphanumeric identification and Data Matrix codes.

This year’s EMO takes place on 18-23 September at the Hannover Exhibition Center in Germany. Visitors to the show will find Pryor in Hall 11 at Stand A28.
