Napatech has been awarded the prestigious Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year 2010” award in the category “Innovation” in Denmark. This is the second time that Napatech has received this honor having also won in 2008. The jury noted in particular that Napatech is steeped in innovation and is also an internationally oriented company which in a relatively short period of time has become a market leader in its segment. In this regard, Napatech has fulfilled the potential highlighted in its selection as a winner in 2008.
“To win an award is always gratifying, but to win such a prestigious award twice in such a short period of time is a great honor”, said Henrik Brill Jensen, CEO, Napatech. “The Ernst & Young judges are very thorough, so we know we have won on merit, which is a great morale booster going into 2011.”

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition was first held in the U.S. in 1986 and winners include Michael Dell of Dell Computer, Scott McNealy of Sun Microsystems, Howard Schultz of Starbucks and Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com. In Denmark, the first Ernst & Young prize was awarded in 1997 and each year, prizes are awarded in 6 categories in additional to the main price: Innovation, Globalization, Growth, Life Sciences, Clean-tech and Start-up. Out of 412 companies qualifying for the award in Denmark, 103 were interviewed and the winners were selected after analysis by the jury.
