Mouser Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with Insight SiP, providers of ready-to-use radio frequency (RF) modules for Bluetooth low energy applications. Through the agreement, Mouser will stock Insight SiP’s Bluetooth low energy modules, designed for low-power wireless connectivity applications, such as telecom and mobile computing, portable consumer devices, health care, connected automobiles, industrial, and Internet of Things (IoT).

The Insight SiP product line includes three miniature Bluetooth-enabled modules and associated evaluation and test boards. The ISP1507 is a miniature state-of-the-art Bluetooth low energy module based on the latest Nordic Semiconductor nRF52 system-on-chip (SoC).

At an ultra-tiny footprint of 8 × 8 × 1mm, the Arm Cortex-M4-based module offers a full Bluetooth 5-ready stack and IPv6 connectivity plus integrated NFC touch-to-pair capabilities, making it suitable as an IoT hub and for solutions that require complex applications, fast processing, and best-in-class power consumption.

The ISP130301 Bluetooth low energy module offers a balance of power and performance.

Based on the Nordic nRF51 ANT+ SoC, the tiny module hosts a multiprotocol stack that provides a full, flexible application programming interface (API) for building concurrent ANT and Bluetooth Smart solutions.

The ISP130301 can run as an autonomous Bluetooth node (connected to sensors via the analogue/digital interfaces), or it can connect to external microprocessors via various bus interfaces as part of a more complex system.

The ultra-small ISP1302 module is based on the Nordic nRF51822 SoC, which includes a powerful Arm Cortex-M0 CPU, 128Kbytes of flash memory, and 16Kbytes of RAM. The module offers low power consumption coupled with excellent radio performance from the integrated antenna, which creates an ideal solution for Bluetooth connectivity.
