Lithium battery contract to supply the French army
Following the signing of a multi-million Euro contract with Ineo Support Global (a subsidiary of GDF Suez), Saft will supply lithium cells and batteries for France’s land army forces. This agreement will play a key role in Ineo Support Global’s strategy to become the leading logistics operator in France’s military outsourcing sector.
Over the duration of the five year contract, Saft will supply tens of thousands of primary and rechargeable lithium cells and batteries to the French army. Supplying around 70 different battery types, Saft will provide reliable, lightweight and long duration power for high-tech field equipment such as communications and global positioning systems, thermal imaging and laser target designators.
