Heraeus Noblelight will again exhibit at Pittcon, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia in March 2011. Pittcon is the leading showcase for scientific and technical innovation with a singular focus on laboratory science.
Heraeus has developed the next generation of Deuterium lamps D2plus, a revolutionary new concept that instrument manufacturers can design into their systems, with the resulting benefits from higher throughput and the best precision analytical results. Uniquely positioned with the widest range of special purpose analytical lamps, Heraeus will present high-quality light sources for numerous applications and all leading instrument brands.
“D2plus is an exciting development for our OEM customers”, explains Stephen Attwood, Sales Director of Heraeus Noblelight Analytics. “System Designers and End Users are pushing the envelope for performance, demanding faster throughput and even more accurate analysis. Heraeus has combined its broad knowledge of materials technology – UV/Quartz Glass and coatings, metals and ceramics – with advanced Deuterium lamp design, to satisfy this demand. This results in higher intensity and lower optical noise, producing the highest precision analytical results.”
Deuterium lamps are now available with 0.5 and 1.0 mm apertures with a minimum lifetime of 2000 hours for UV-Vis spectrophoto-meters, new design HPLC and the even more demanding UHPLC instruments.
“D2plus Deuterium lamps include Heraeus’ Enhanced Lifetime Performance (ELP) technology,” Theo Schneider, Product Manager of Heraeus Noblelight goes on to explain. “ELP guarantees 50% more initial intensity and greater than 2x residual intensity compared to conventional Deuterium lamps. Customers benefit from faster and higher accuracy measurements – even at the end of lamp-life.”
Heraeus Noblelight, leading manufacturer of specialty light sources, is a global player in the industry. Deuterium and Hollow Cathode Lamps, PID and specialty lighting from Heraeus are not only engineered for long lifetime, but also for the highest precision and stability. Extensive testing of all light sources ensures they meet the specifications needed to give reliable and reproducible performance for the most demanding applications. Heraeus technology provides high quality and capability in modern analytical equipment, reducing Cost of Ownership and supporting the most sensitive analysis.
Heraeus Noblelight develops and manufactures specialty light sources and power supplies for a wide range of analytical applications. Heraeus experts are available to support instrument manufacturers with customised designs for future developments.
