Texas Instruments and Avnet will present a live Analog eLab Webcast for designers entitled "Analog Support for Digital Media-Based Systems" on Wednesday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. CST (18:00 hrs CET). During the online discussion, TI analog expert Bill Klein, P.E., and eLab panelists J.B. Fowler of TI and Mike Claassen of Avnet will address analog circuit design issues that affect performance of digital media-based video applications. Engineers are invited to register for the one-hour session at www.ti.com/analogelab.
Webcast panelists will provide an overview of the extensive analog circuit support required for digital media-based systems for video applications. Their discussion will focus on support functions that include video input and output in analog and digital form as well as audio input and output.
They will also discuss clocking solutions and power management. Even in powerful digital media applications, system quality can be severely compromised if any of these support functions corrupt the data. The panelists will share their expert commentary on the ramifications of designs
that do not meet the required precision.

During the lab segment, Klein and Fowler will demonstrate critical support elements using the Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM) based on DaVinci(tm) technology. This board enables developers to start immediate evaluation of DaVinci-based processors and begin developing digital video applications.
