The embedded solutions provider, Cypress Semiconductor, has announced its manufacturing and support operations have attained the latest IATF16949:2016 and ISO9001:2015 certifications for automotive quality. The certifications help ensure the reliable performance of components, which is critical for enabling fail-safe operation of automotive systems.

Developed by the International Automotive Task Force in conjunction with the international standards community, IATF 16949 is the industry's highest standard for quality management systems in the automotive sector. Cypress’ certifications are valid through September 2021.

Sabbas Daniel, Executive Vice President of Quality and Engineering, stated: “Cypress partners with our automotive customers to help them create differentiated systems for vehicles, but always with a focus on providing the quality and reliability these systems require for fail-safe operation. The certification of our manufacturing sites and supporting business processes to the latest IATF 16949 automotive quality standards continues Cypress’ commitment to zero-defect quality and to the automotive market.”
