RF Solutions is bringing to the UK market Maestro Industrial, the only cellular wireless modem that combines the state of the art self-maintenance capability (‘Comm Alive’ function) and a powerful Programmable Logic Controller-like functionality (PLC) with a wide range of interfaces that are essential for today’s demanding M2M applications.

With its rugged metal casing, status LEDs, optional DIN rail mounting and battery back-up capability, Maestro Industrial is a great device for critical applications that require maximum communication stability and powerful management of events. This device comes with intelligent reset functions, network re-attachment and back-up modes as standard, ensuring the highest reliability in communication. Its built-in ‘Comm Alive’ feature facilitates the servicing of industrial devices in remote or inaccessible areas.

It is available in two different options of interfaces and input ports – providing maximum flexibility: RS232 on D-Sub 9pin female and 4 digital inputs on RJ45 (configuration MI-01) and RS232 on D-Sub 9pin female and RS485 on 2pin terminal block (configuration MI-05). By using simple commands, the Maestro Industrial can switch between using CSD (circuit switched data) calls, or GPRS to communicate with a device on the serial port. Four fully-programmable inputs, timers, counters and other events provide a very powerful and future-proof solution for industrial communications.

Overall dimensions of the Maestro Industrial GSM are 170mm x 80mm x 35mm, and the device weighs 700 grams.
