Elektromotive Wins ‘Businessgreen Leader’ Accolade

The awards celebrate the UK’s top green businesses, executives and thought-leaders, and Brighton-based Elektromotive beat seven other businesses in the Small Business of the Year category. The judges were particularly impressed by the company’s commitment to local manufacturing, its global ambitions, and the cutting-edge technology used in its Elektrobay charging stations installed in locations across the UK and overseas.

Elektromotive recently conducted a survey among 1,417 motorists, which found that two-thirds of drivers (65.7 per cent) would be more likely to buy an EV if charging posts were readily available at roadsides and in car parks across the UK. Only 7.8 per cent would be unlikely to buy, while over a quarter (26.5 per cent) were ‘undecided’, suggesting that a significant minority still need to be persuaded about the viability and benefits of EVs.

Elektromotive was also recently ranked number one in the UK, and third in the world, for recharging post manufacture in a study by market analysts, Pike Research.
