Rohde & Schwarz and Promate have entered a long-term collaboration on an important material group by signing a global framework agreement for the development and delivery of display solutions. Displays, which increasingly include touch functionality, represent an important human-machine interface for end-users of test & measurement and communications equipment.

Rohde & Schwarz has successfully partnered with this industrial Taiwan-based specialist for some time. Promate has now been confirmed as a Preferred Supplier, formalising the partnership on a new contractual basis.

Manufacturing the high tech Rohde & Schwarz products poses complex challenges for the group's supply chain.

Deliveries of electronic assemblies and subsystems must be on time, high quality and cost-optimised.

Peter Schlindwein, who heads Corporate Procurement at Rohde & Schwarz, emphasizes: "We need suppliers like Promate who are sufficiently flexible, technically competent and competitive. Together we have laid a new foundation that solidifies existing business and offers a legal platform for further expansion."

Cheer Du, Chief Operating Officer of Promate Electronic, sees the cooperation with Rohde & Schwarz as validation of her company as a reliable solutions provider for the industry. “Rohde & Schwarz is a high technology company who fits to Promate and together we can bring state of art display solutions to the Rohde & Schwarz products.”
