Christopher Associates Inc. today announced that it has been awarded a 2012 NPI Award in the category of Rework and Repair Tools for its MAGNUS HD TREND from Tagarno. The award was presented to the company’s President, Matt Holzmann, during a Tuesday, February 28, 2012 ceremony that took place at the San Diego Convention Center in California.

The MAGNUS HD TREND from Tagarno has rapidly achieved industry acceptance as one of the most useful inspection and manufacturing tools in the industry. With magnification from 4-322X, HD imaging and superior ergonomics, the MAGNUS HD TREND can be used in numerous operations and departments including inspection, data capture, rework, manual assembly and in-process inspection.

MAGNUS HD TREND uses a new, more powerful LED light that still draws very little power, (less than 20 watts, including the camera). Additionally, the system is easy to position at the correct height depending on the size of the object under inspection. It is equipped with a quick adjustment button and an ultra-fine height adjustment with 0.001 mm resolution. Images of the objects can be captured with a single click and stored on your PC or an SD card.

Premiering in 2008, the NPI Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.
