Andreas Schneider joins EnOcean board of management
EnOcean GmbH has appointed Andreas Schneider, Executive VP and Co-founder of EnOcean, to the board of management, with effect from 1 October 1 2010, the start of the new business year. As Chief Marketing Officer he will assume responsibility for sales, marketing and product management. Together with Markus Brehler, who as CEO will focus increasingly on corporate strategy, and Uwe Thumm, who is as CFO responsible for business management, Schneider will continue to promote the company's technology and drive business growth on a global scale.EnOcean's innovative technology is already experiencing success in both national and international markets, and all indicators point to further growth. So it's important to tighten the links between sales, marketing and product management processes at the highest corporate level and to enhance the way they interface with the market, says Samuel Simonsson, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EnOcean. We're very pleased that Andreas Schneider is taking on this task. As a founder member of EnOcean GmbH, and given his extensive sales expertise, he's the perfect choice for the position.
As a co-founder and Executive VP of EnOcean, Schneider has been responsible for market development and sales strategies for energy harvesting wireless technology since 2001. Prior to that Schneider held the position of worldwide marketing GSM modules, at Siemens. He also gathered several years of experience in the global systems and products business of various other companies, including Sales Director for trunked radio systems at Rohde & Schwarz BICK Mobilfunk.
Since 2001 EnOcean has developed wireless modules that draw power from their surroundings by the energy harvesting principle, and thus enable fully energy-autonomous and maintenance-free solutions in building automation for instance. These have already been implemented in over 100,000 buildings worldwide, providing the answer to increased flexibility and energy efficiency.
