The MTCH6303 Projected Capacitive Touch Controller from Microchip Technology is in stock at Mouser Electronics. The MTCH6303 provides multi-touch coordinates and a multi-finger surface gesture suite for touch pads and screens. The controller allows for modern user interface (UI) elements — such as pinch and zoom, multi-finger scrolling and swipes — to any embedded design, with minimal host requirements.

The controller features advanced signal processing, which provides noise-avoidance techniques and predictive tracking for 10 fingers, at scan rates of up to 250 Hz with a minimum of 100 Hz each for five touches.

In combination with Microchip's MTCH652 High-voltage Line Driver, the controller can achieve a superior signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for outstanding touch performance in noisy environments.

The MTCH6303 is designed to work with sensors with a minimum of 3 RX and 3 TX sensor channels, and a maximum of 27 RX and 19 TX channels using a single MTCH652 to support touch screens up to 8 inches.

Available in 64-pin QFN and TQFP packages, the MTCH6303 controller supports 3D gestures up to 20cm when combined with the Microchip MGC3130 3D Tracking and Gesture Controller.

The controller and related Microchip technologies provide cost-effective, easy-to-integrate touch solutions for industrial controls, home and office automation with security control panels, thermostats, printers and lighting controls, and other consumer applications.
