Providing developers with greater flexibility to meet embedded design requirements, Texas Instruments has announced the expansion and reduced pricing of its Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontroller (MCU) family. Twenty-nine new Stellaris MCUs include unique IP for motion control applications, intelligent analog functionality and expanded advanced connectivity options to provide a broad range of price/performance solutions for industrial applications. The portfolio also offers extended memory range pin-compatibility, along with new compact packages for space and cost savings.
Due to efficiencies resulting from the Stellaris MCU integration into TI’s economies of scale, an immediate price reduction averaging 13 percent across the Stellaris family is also effective immediately. Each device is supported by TI’s comprehensive StellarisWare® software to speed development of applications in the energy, security and connectivity markets.
