Admiral Microwaves has introduced an integrated RF Front End Module designed for 802.11b/g wireless local area network (WLAN) applications in the frequency range from 2.4 to 2.5GHz. Manufactured by US company, RF Arrays, the RWF111 consists of an integrated power amplifier, switch and low noise amplifier.
This single chip module supports a data rate of 54Mbps and is capable of delivering linear power at 16dBm for 802.11g WLAN applications, and 19dBm for 802.11b devices. It is also suitable for home RF designs.

Specified with a very low current consumption, this front end module is fully matched internally to a 50 Ohm output and input impedance, and features an integrated power detector. Contained in a QFN16 package, measuring just 3 x 3mm, the device is based on GaAs P-Hemt MMIC technology, with an operating voltage from 2.9 to 4.5V and operating temperature range of – 40 to 85oC.
