Antenex, part of Laird Technologies, has introduced its Phantom Elite mobile antenna for mobile and fixed applications.
The indoor and outdoor antenna features patented True Field Diversity technology that provides both vertical and horizontal polarisation in a low-profile, sleek design. The devices are utilised in public safety, taxi and utility vehicles as well as WiFi applications. Moreover, the patented circuit board design ensures uninterrupted video and data transmissions in urban canyons and rural drop-off areas where traditional antennas fail.

The Phantom Elite complements the company's well-established line of Phantom products and customers will benefit from the same superior performance of the original Phantom technology now packaged in a more dynamic, stealth housing.

Phantom antennas are specified by public safety, military, utility and transportation providers. As a vital component of the friend/foe identification system, Phantom antennas have been installed on Apache, Black Hawk, and Chinook helicopters as well as Humvee and Bradley military vehicles around the world.

The product is available currently in volume production and is obtainable in VHF, UHF, 2.4GHz and dual-band cell/PCS versions. Most Phantom Elite mobile antennas also provide users with a 3 db-MEG gain. All models are produced with field-proven ABS injection moulded material. Combined with the low-profile, aerodynamic housing, Phantom Elite antennas are less susceptible to damage and vandalism. The antennas can be mounted with a NMO or permanent N female mount.
