The RC11XX-RC232 RF transceiver modules from Radiocrafts are compact surface-mounted high-performance devices for GFSK operation with embedded RC232 protocol.

They are available at distributor Digi-Key

The RC11 series is a cost-effective sub-GHz platform that supports 433 MHz, 865 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz modules.

The family includes a high power option for the extended range.

The modules are completely shielded and pre-certified for operation under the European radio regulations for license-free use.

RC1190-RC232 conforms with regulations for operation under the FCC (USA and Canada) and RC1170-RC232 conforms with regulations for operation under the directives given by G.S.R. (India).

RC232 is the most easy-to-use and simple networking protocol for bidirectional wireless transmission from a transmitter to a receiver. It is fully transparent and will appear as a serial connection for the embedded designer.

It uses a UART interface and can be configured as point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and peer-to-peer.

Radiocrafts has an RC232 module variant for every application requirement including very low cost, high radio reliability, narrowband industrial-grade variants, and more.

The 12.7 mm x 25.4 mm x 3.7 mm modules are shielded and optimised for SMD mounting. They have a low sleep current consumption, well suited for battery operated equipment

Applications include wireless sensor networks, SCADA systems, industrial serial buses, industrial controls, automatic meter readings, alarm and security systems, points-of-sale terminals, bar code scanners, telemetry stations and fleet management.
